B. Procurement Summary
Overview
Integrity, Inc. intends to procure copyediting and formatting services for MELS, PEARL, and Asia MELS project deliverables. The detailed scope of work and specifications are included in Annex A: Scope of Work and Specifications.
2. Project Descriptions
a. The MELS Activity serves as the USAID/South Sudan Mission’s primary mechanism for monitoring, evaluation, and learning and adaptive management services for ongoing activities and programs. In a dynamic operating environment, MELS provides USAID/South Sudan with flexible, demand-driven technical, analytic, and advisory support in order to strengthen collaboration, learning and adapting (CLA); promote institutional memory; produce monitoring, evaluation, learning products as appropriate; strengthen knowledge management and organizational learning (KMOL), organizational effectiveness and operational efficiency; and strengthen data-driven decision-making through an efficient use of GIS and other innovative spatial analysis.
b. Peacebuilding Evaluation, Analysis, Research, and Learning (PEARL) is a field support, buy-in task order under the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Bureau for Policy, Planning, and Learning (PPL) Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Services II (EVAL ME II) Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) mechanism. The intended outcome of PEARL is to support the USAID Bureau for Conflict Prevention and Stabilization (CPS) Center for Conflict and Violence Prevention (CVP) with services that 1) improve the ability of USAID Missions to identify systems, tools, and development interventions that contribute to the prevention of armed conflict and violence 2) provide USAID Missions with actionable recommendations for designing, monitoring, and managing development interventions in ways that prevent, manage, or mitigate violent conflict and its effects and 3) contribute to the evidence base for effective peacebuilding and violence prevention for development interventions.
c. ASIA MEL provides MEL advisory and technical support to USAID’s Asia Bureau, ten bilateral Missions, two regional Missions and five Operating Units (OUs) in the Indo-Pacific region as they implement key USAID objectives under the US Government’s Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS). The project provides training and technical assistance on data collection, quality, and reporting; guides USAID’s learning priorities by co-designing an Indo-Pacific Learning Agenda; facilitates learning events, and disseminates lessons learned and strategic communications across the Agency and external stakeholders.
3. Cost Responsibility & Risk
This EOI has been issued at no cost to the potential vendors, and there shall be no requirement for any potential vendor to pay any amount to Integrity at any stage of the process. However, recipients of this EOI shall bear all costs associated with the preparation and submission in response to this EOI and Integrity will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the conduct or outcome of the procurement process. Further, Integrity reserves the right to reject any or all submissions received if such actions are in the best interest of Integrity.
Annex A. Scope of Work and Specifications
This Annex A describes the goods and/or services being solicited through this EOI.
Integrity Global Inc. is looking for an experienced copy editor to conduct thorough copyediting and formatting of deliverables across various projects, ensuring consistency with USAID and Integrity style guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in the field of copyediting, with references from similar projects.
- At least five years of professional experience in copyediting.
- Strong command of the U.S. English language and excellent grammar skills.
- Proven experience working with USAID and a thorough understanding of USAID Style Guidelines. Strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with industry-standard style guides such Chicago Manual of Style and Merriam-Webster.
- Having a degree in English literature, journalism or a related field and possess good research, analytical and writing skills.
- Proven track record of methodical working style, ability to ensure accuracy, and demonstrate great attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize workload and work on tight deadlines, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to engage in regular communication and updates throughout the editing process.
- Be legally registered to operate in the U.S.
Responsibilities:
- Editing to improve readability and concision.
- Collaborate with writers and other team members to refine and enhance written content.
- Proofreading copy to ensure quality of grammar, style, punctuation, and syntax.
- Copyediting copy to ensure accuracy of content, including correct use of style and formatting.
- Verify and ensure adherence to Integrity and USAID Writing Style Guide.
- Conduct facts and detail checking and ensure accuracy of information written.
- Track changes using Microsoft Word for easy review by Integrity.
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations on overall document to improve content quality.
- Work with the Project Management Unit teams to ensure timely submission of the deliverables.
