Scope of work:
Integrity is hiring a Business Intern to support essential functions within the Business Directorate: Business Development, Account Management, Consultant Management, and Marketing and Communications. This candidate will help to identify and pursue new project opportunities, maintain account management systems, assist in managing Integrity’s network of consultants, and contribute to marketing and communications.
The Business Intern will be managed by a Business Officer. Ideally the candidate will be available to start in early February 2018 on a six month full-time salaried contract with the possibility of extension.
Terms of Reference:
A. Business Development (30%)
- Support the identification and selection of new business opportunities.
- Contribute to proposal development and bid management.
- Create and amend documents related to Business Development such as track records.
B. Account Management (10%)
- Quality assure the creation of new account entries to our internal databases.
- Attend, record and otherwise support account management discussions and initiatives.
C. Consultant Management (40%)
- Support the identification and recruitment of personnel for company proposals and projects.
- Quality assure the registration of new consultants on our internal databases.
- Provide support to strategic consultant recruitment.
D. Marketing and Communications (20%)
- Support with drafting and distribution of job advertisements.
- Assist in formatting official company documents.
- Coordinate internal and external Integrity events.
- Contribute to the creation of quarterly newsletters.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
- Previous experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in using database software (desirable).
- Demonstrable IT literacy and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential) and Adobe Creative Suite and/or WordPress (desirable).
- A positive, can-do, proactive attitude with a strong business drive.
- An interest in international development, international relations, political science, anthropology or a related field.
Languages:
- Written and oral fluency in English (essential).
- Written and oral fluency in French or another language (desirable).
