Data and Knowledge Manager (DKM/M)
Full-time, Based in London, UK or Washington, DC metro area, US with up to 30% travel.

Scope of work:
The Data and Knowledge Manager (DKM/M) is a management position within Integrity’s Directorate Operations. The role offers an experienced professional the chance to develop Integrity’s provision of data and knowledge management (DKM) services to clients and its global team. DKM/M also sits on Integrity’s DKM Committee, with group oversight of Integrity’s DKM direction, coordination and feedback to ensure effective strategic, operational and risk management.

Overview:
DKM/M is an important member of the team responsible for nurturing Integrity’s growing reputation as a provider of expert DKM services to the development sector. The role requires demonstrable competence implementing technology-led systems and building strong working relationships with internal and external clients across diverse operating geographies. The DKM/M will be an innovative, driven individual with experience delivering DKM systems and engaging stakeholders through proven expertise and communication. The DKM/M will understand the products, dialogues and opportunities across both the DKM marketplace and development sector.
A. DKM project delivery (50%)
- Build Integrity’s reputation as a provider of expert data and knowledge management services to clients and Integrity by implementing and developing Integrity’s DKM ‘Toolkit’ in accordance with the Principles for Digital Development.
- Promote the value and deployment of Integrity’s web-based map visualisation software.
- Implement data collection systems and processes, and produce DKM project deliverables (technology platforms, written reports, presentations, learning events, training).
- Produce materials supporting evidence-based decision-making, including data analysis and visualisation products for proposals, contracted delivery and learning events.
B. Business development and relationship management (30%)
- Identify, build and maintain strategic DKM relationships with clients, consultants and partner organisations.
- Document Integrity’s DKM capabilities in a suite of external marketing materials and be able to deliver written and verbal articulations of Integrity DKM.
- Deliver new revenue streams from DKM business opportunities identified through project delivery and Integrity’s opportunity ‘pipeline’.
- Ensure Integrity DKM participation at relevant external events, seminars, training programmes and in expert communities.
C.DKM/IT strategy delivery and development (13%)
- Support development of Integrity’s DKM Strategy and DKM Committee.
- Improve the performance of Integrity’s existing DKM systems in all geographies, and support the induction of new systems, processes, personnel.
- Improve information capture, institutional memory and learning from Integrity’s projects.
- Deliver business analytics, reporting and visualisation services.
D.DKM resource management (5%)
- Line management of Integrity’s DKM team members to a) deliver high-functioning, innovative/iterative systems and process to Integrity’s team, b) ensure Integrity complies with UK & EU information security legislation, and c) develop Integrity’s reputation as a trusted provider of information security.
- Work with Director Operations to identify DKM human resource requirements and support recruitment processes.
E.Professional development and learning (2%)
- In accordance with Integrity’s Total Reward Policy, 2% of the DKM/M’s time will be reserved for professional development and learning activities.
Education and experience:
The candidate will have:
- At minimum, a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 5-10 years’ experience providing technology-led data and knowledge management systems to disperse teams and complex projects, ideally in international development.
- Proven ability to engage and influence stakeholders in person.
- Proven experience producing written communications for diverse audiences.
- Proven competence managing software development processes.
- Detailed understanding of data collection technologies and integrations, including Open Data Kit (ODK) services, JavaScript, qualitative/quantitative analysis software, data visualisation packages (Tableau, PowerBI), web development tools.
- A strategic outlook and accompanying attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and in challenging environments.
Languages:
- Written and oral fluency in English essential.
- Additional language skills in Arabic, French, Turkish desirable.
