Scope of work:
The Business Intern will support essential functions within the Directorate of Business – Business Development, Account Management, Consultant Management and Marketing and Communications. This will include support to Integrity’s Business Development team to: identify and pursue new project opportunities, maintain account management systems, assist in managing Integrity’s network of consultants and general support to the marketing and communications team.
The Business Intern will be managed primarily by a Business Officer. The position is London-based and candidates must have the right to work in the UK. Ideally the candidate will be available to start between April and May 2016 for a minimum contract of 6 months up to 12 months. The is a full-time, salaried position. Salary will be discussed at interview.
Terms of Reference:
A. Business Development (40%)
Support the Business Directorate to identify and pursue new project opportunities.
- Support the search for and identification of new business opportunities
- Support with proposal development and bid management
- Support in the creation and production of key external project-related text, documents and documentation
- Support other general functions and administration within the Directorate such as recording important internal and external meetings
B. Account Management (25%)
Support Integrity’s Account Management system and process.
- Quality assure the creation of new account entries to Integrity’s Customer Relationship Management system globally
- Support with the prioritisation of Integrity’s key accounts globally
- Monitor progress on account management tasks
- Attend, record and otherwise support account management discussions and initiatives
C. Consultant Management (25%)
Support the Consultant Management team to identify and recruit the best consultants to join Integrity’s database and support Integrity’s projects
- Quality assure and support the communications with and registration of consultants on Integrity’s Customer Relationship Management system
- Support the Consultant Management Team with the identification and recruitment of personnel for company proposals and projects
- Provide support to strategic consultant recruitment
D. Marketing and Communications (10%)
Provide administrative, event and production support to Integrity’s Marketing and Communications team.
- Support with drafting and distribution of job advertisements
- Oversee the design and production of company business cards and office collateral
- Support the Marketing and Communications team to format official company documents
- Support the organisation and coordination of internal and external Integrity events
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, ideally in Business, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Previous experience in a client-facing role is highly desirable (i.e. in a similar role doing business development, sales, client/account management, etc)
- Prior experience in using database software, particularly Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software would be an advantage
- Experience using Wordpress or other website management tools is desirable
- Demonstrable IT literacy and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (essential) and Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)
- A positive, can-do attitude with a strong business drive
- An interest in international development, international relations, political science, anthropology or a related field is useful but not necessary
Languages:
- Written and oral fluency in English
