Scope of Work
Integrity is hiring a Project Manager to develop and support its growing delivery portfolio in Yemen. The Manager will be based in the Washington DC metro area with travel to our office in Jordan.
The Manager will focus on high quality project delivery, client relations, proposal development, team management, quality assurance and methodological development. The Manager will work flexibly across Integrity’s different services and directorates. The Manager will be a part of Integrity’s Services Directorate and report to the Head of Programs in Washington DC.
This position is contingent on final award of contracts from the U.S. Government.
Terms of Reference:
A. Project Management of two USAID Health projects in Yemen (60%):
- Oversee management of the projects with a primary focus on administrative, logistics, personnel and contractual support, as well as quality control.
- Provide backstopping and troubleshooting support to field-based staff through frequent communication and administrative support.
- Support financial management, budgeting, reporting and compliance, both internally for management and operational purposes and externally for donor compliance, as needed.
- Provide ad hoc technical input and support to the field team and Project Director, as needed.
B. Other Project Management/Implementation (Globally) (20%):
- Deliver technical inputs on other projects as possible and necessary, including research, data analysis, and report writing.
- Contribute to the delivery of contracted work through project management, including financial management, data management, client management and coordination of delivery efforts.
- Manage relationships with client representatives.
C. Proposal and Business Development (15%):
- Support efforts to identify new business opportunities across a range of different donors, particularly USAID and the U.S. Department of State.
- Contribute to the development of bids for new work, including writing or supporting technical and commercial proposals.
- Identify new consultants with the appropriate technical and management skills to deliver Integrity’s growing portfolio of work. Conduct interviews with shortlisted consultants to assess competencies, build their profile and establish areas of collaboration.
D. Corporate Support (5%):
- Contribute to the strengthening of Integrity’s systems in delivering projects for the U.S. Government, including strengthening systems in project management, contracting, operational support and Duty of Care, and consultant management.
Experience and qualifications
You are a professional with the following qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a relevant social sciences field.
- Minimum of 2 years direct management and/ or oversight of USAID and/or Department of State projects.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of USAID rules and regulations.
- Experience managing teams of staff and consultants on successful project delivery.
- Written and oral fluency in English.
- Willingness and ability to travel for at least 20% of the time.
It is desirable that you also have:
- Experience working in Yemen or on Yemen-based projects.
- Experience working on international health systems strengthening projects.
- MEL experience in the international development or consultancy sectors.
- Proficiency in an additional language, ideally Arabic. Experience supporting the pursuit of new business, including competitive bidding.
