Scope of Work
The Business Officer (BO) will support essential Directorate Business functions, including business development, consultant and account management. The BO will assist in the pursuit of new business opportunities and in the maintenance and development of company systems and databases.
Business Officer (BO) will be managed by a Business Manager, and will sit in the Directorate Business. The position is London-based with international travel as required.
Terms of Reference
A.Business Development (35%)
Supporting the Business Development functions within Directorate Business to identify and pursue new project opportunities
Supporting the company’s management of its Framework contracts, assisting in the development of proposals to join new Frameworks, and becoming proficient in the procurement rules and guidelines for proposal development, serving as a resource to the team.
Identifying, prioritising and coordinating team attendance at, opportunity-related events.
Supporting on pre-positioning activity, including preparing written contributions, conducting market analysis and recording pre-positioning updates;
Mapping key client contacts and researching donor priorities and activities in support of the business development strategy, briefing the team as required.
Proactively supporting/performing other business development tasks as may be required.
B.Consultant Management (35%)
Support Consultant Management functions within Directorate Business and other Directorates as well as oversight and expansion of Integrity’s Bench of consultants.
Supporting the identification and recruitment of consultants for proposals;
Proactively identifying new consultants to join the company’s roster of consultants and registering them;
Producing reports and analysing data to support the consultant management strategy;
Maintaining quality and consistency of consultant data in the company database;
Coordinating company communication with consultants on the Bench;
Attending and recording meetings with consultants, proposal development meetings;
Support the administration and maintenance of the Consultant Management System
In time, leading on development of teaming strategy for specific proposals;
C.Account Management (20%)
Support Account Management functions within the Business Directorate, to assist in building and improving Integrity’s external relationships.
Assisting in company-wide mapping and prioritisation of key accounts and contacts;
Supporting the registration and management of new accounts via the company database;
Attending and recording meetings with external stakeholders, and internal account management discussions;
Generating data analytics and reports to develop Account Management strategy;
Helping to monitor progress across the team on agreed account management tasks;
D.Marketing and Communications (LoE 10%)
Support with Business communications for project proposals
Support with the writing of relevant track record for use in business development and project-related marketing materials;
Copy-editing and formatting documents as and when required.
Education and Experience:
The candidate will have:
An undergraduate degree and/or relevant work experience;
Demonstrable knowledge of Microsoft Office, in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working with databases, particularly Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
