Overview
The incumbent, under the overall authority of Renato Opertti, Senior Program Specialist, will support the program carry out the Programme “Innovation and Leadership in Curriculum, Learning and Assessment by carrying out the following tasks:
Researching background materials and support the implementation of initiatives within the area of Current and Critical Issues in Learning, Curriculum and Assessment (GCED, STEM, Inclusive and Youth Education), providing inputs for and editing research papers, drafting reports, presentation and news, reviewing the results of monitoring and evaluation activities, managing database.
***Required qualifications*
Education**
Currently enrolled in a MA degree (or already completed) in Education or curriculum studies.
Skills/Competencies
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Excellent research and communication skills
- Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and willingness to learn
- Good mastery of Microsoft Office programme (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- High personal motivation, ability to take responsibility in meeting tight deadlines;
- Ability to work effectively in teams and independently within a multicultural and multilingual environment.
- Strong interest in education and in the work of IBE - UNESCO
Languages
Excellent knowledge of English, good knowledge of Spanish and/or French would be an asset.**Benefits and entitlements**
Please note that this internship is unpaid. The intern is responsible for all expenses related to the internship, including lodging, meals and transportation to and from Geneva. The intern must be self-insured through a medical provider.
