The incumbent, under the overall authority of the Director of IBE and the direct supervision of Ms Simona Popa, Program Specialist Publications, will carry out the following tasks and provide support for and assistance with:
• Prospecting research grants, funding opportunities, and fundraising strategies for publications.
• Drafting proposals, reports and other communications for donors and stakeholders.
• Setting up IBE-UNESCO international events and publication launches.
• Logistic and administrative work where required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• Currently enrolled in a MA degree (or already completed), ideally in fundraising management, public policy, international organizations, or a related field.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Excellent writing and analytical skills
• Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and willingness to learn
• Strong interest in education and in the work of IBE-UNESCO
• Fundraising experience would be an asset
LANGUAGES
Excellent English language skills; knowledge of another UN official language would be an asset.
