The incumbent, under the direct supervision of Ms. Mmantsetsa Marope, Director of the IBE-UNESCO, will carry out the following tasks and provide support for and assistance with:
• Drafting a wide range of documents (e.g. project proposals, office correspondences and official letters, terms of reference, briefings, concept notes, reports, legal documents such as partnership/project agreements, and minutes of high level meetings) related to the IBE-UNESCO’s programmatic areas.
• Assisting general office duties as assigned (e.g. logistic and administrative support to the Director’s office and the IBE-UNESCO at large).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
• Currently enrolled in a MA degree (or already completed), in education or international cooperation
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES
• Outstanding writing and analytical skills
• Outstanding research skills
• Creative open-minded team player with strong initiative and willingness to learn
• Strong interest in education and in the work of the IBE-UNESCO
• Good mastery of Microsoft Office programme (Word, Excel, Power Point, Prezi, Outlook)
• Capacity to work effectively in a highly challenging work environment under time constraints
• Capacity to work effectively in a multicultural working environment
LANGUAGES
• Native English speaker and a good working knowledge of French
