Scope of work:

Integrity is hiring a Business Officer (BO) to support the Directorate’s Business Development, Consultant Management, Account Management and Marketing and Communications functions. The role will comprise of identifying and pursuing new project opportunities, maintaining account management systems and records, assist in managing Integrity’s consultant network, support logistical, compliance and commercial processes, project delivery when required, and the production of marketing and communications materials. The BO will be managed primarily by a Business Manager (BM) but will work with the wider Directorate Business (DB) team. The position is London-based with international travel as required.

Terms of Reference:

A. Business Development (40%)

  • Support the delivery of Integrity’s business development strategy by working as a core member of Directorate Business, coordinating closely with team members across the world and also with Integrity’s Directorate Services, Operations and Finance.
  • As Business Lead, support the implementation of bid strategies and proposal development on specific opportunities globally, including competitor mapping, consortium selection and engagement, brand and messaging, recruitment, development of capability statements, financials and compliance documentation. There may be opportunities to specialise in certain regions, or thematic areas.
  • Identify, update and manage a company-wide pipeline of opportunities in line with geographical, thematic and technical strategies to support our delivery of company-wide financial targets on a quarterly basis.
  • Upload entries from donor and other international online supplier platforms and be Integrity’s point person, guiding colleagues on how to do this effectively and efficiently.
  • Administer Integrity’s stream of opportunities through donor subcontractor frameworks, including managing communications on call down opportunities internally and externally. In time, manage specific framework relationships for the company.

B. Consultant Management (40%)

  • Identify and recruit team members for key bid and proposal processes, including but not limited to the negotiation of fees, roles, level of effort.
  • Project-specific consultant CV design, drafting and tailoring.
  • Quality assure the registration of new consultants on Integrity’s consultant bench.
  • Support consultant management systems, processes and strategy.

C. Marketing and Communication (10%)

  • Support the production of corporate marketing materials, including news items for the Integrity website and social media channels.
  • Compile and update relevant track records for use in Business Development and corporate marketing materials.
  • Support with the formatting, finalisation and quality assurance of staff and consultant recruitments as required.
  • Publish recruitments to the company website and internal platforms.
  • Assist in advertising recruitments on online platforms including LinkedIn and Reliefweb.

D. Account management (5%)

  • Quality assure the creation of new account entries to our internal databases.
  • Attend, record and otherwise support account management strategy and initiatives.
  • Represent Integrity at early market engagement and other external meetings with client, partners and potential partners as required.

E. Other (5%)

  • Monitor info@integrityglobal.com email account on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Actively participate in meetings, including the taking of minutes and actions during weekly team strategy and coordination calls.

Education and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Desire to work on the business side of the company – building relationships with individuals and organisations, contributing to proposals for projects rather than delivering projects themselves.
  • Drive to build on one’s skills from proposal to proposal.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce long-form text, such as essays, articles, blogs, etc.
  • An interest in the subject matter of Integrity’s work (to be found on our website).
  • Experience in customer service, customer-facing or service-oriented roles in any kind of organisation.
  • Excellent time management.
  • A team player approach with a positive attitude, willingness to both learn from others and lead others.

Languages:

  • Written and oral fluency in English to native standard is essential.
  • Other relevant and desirable languages are Arabic, French, Spanish, Urdu and Swahili.
